Founder and CEO Luca Hillebrand recently spoke with H₂ News about REJOOL’s innovative approach to hydrogen compression. In the interview, he shares insights on how the start-up, founded in 2022, has successfully developed compact high-pressure compressors that meet a growing market need.

Unlike conventional large-scale compressors, REJOOL’s solutions target smaller applications with flow rates of 1–10 m³/h, offering a unique combination of compact design, oil-free operation, and full gas tightness.

These compressors are ideal for small commercial businesses, universities, labs, and decentralized mobility projects. They enable hydrogen storage from solar power surplus, research applications, and backup energy systems — all while ensuring 100% contamination-free hydrogen, which is crucial for fuel cells.

All critical components are manufactured with micrometer precision, and each compressor undergoes extensive full-load testing before delivery. The company continues to optimize its technology, with plans for new sizes and variants to cover more applications.

REJOOL’s approach not only fills a market gap in small-scale hydrogen compression but also supports customers from project development to commissioning, emphasizing a full-service, high-quality offering.
